Account Management¶

Install VNCtask App¶
Search for VNCtask: Professional Task Management in the Play Store or Apple App Store and install the application.
After you have installed VNCtask, you can:
- create, update, change, and delete tasks;
- set due dates, priorities, tags, and more;
- collaborate in teams and companies.
Create an account¶
Before creating an account, ensure that you are using the proper URL. For this, tap "Change server URL" on the login page, enter the appropriate URL, and tap "Change".
If you have already had the account, just enter your credentials and tap LOGIN. If you need to register a new account, follow the steps below:
- Tap Register New Account.
- Enter your first name, last name, and email.
- In the "Username" field, enter a username.
- Enter and confirm your password.
- Tap REGISTER. You should see the notification stating that "Account was successfully created. An email containing the instructions to activate your account was sent to
. In case you have not received an email, please check your spam folder, whether the email has not been accidentally recognized as SPAM." - Search for the email with the instructions in your email, which you have specified while registering. To activate your account, tap the link, specified in the email. You should be redirected to VNClagoon login page - enter the credentials and tap LOGIN.
- Read "Terms Of Use" and tap ACCEPT otherwise your account will not be activated.
Change/ Remove the profile photo¶
- At the top, tap the hamburger menu .
- Tap the profile photo icon.
- Tap Upload Photo > Change.

Select a required photo/image and crop it.
- If you want to remove the current profile photo/picture, tap Remove.
Customize the language¶
It is possible to set 2 languages: English and German.
- At the top, tap the hamburger menu .
- Tap General Settings.
- From the Language drop-down menu, select your preferred language.
- On the bottom, tap the checkmark .
Enable/ disable the global mute¶
If you enable the global mute, you will mute all notifications within the application.
- At the top, tap the hamburger menu .
- Tap General Settings.
- Switch the toggle on next to Global mute to enable the global mute.
- On the bottom, tap the checkmark .
If you want to disable the global mute, switch the toggle off next to Global mute.
Enable/ disable the email notifications¶
If you want to receive emails about all changes within tasks, you can enable the email notifications.
- At the top, tap the hamburger menu .
- Tap General Settings.
- Switch the toggle on next to Email notifications to enable the email notifications.
- On the bottom, tap the checkmark .
If you want to disable the email notifications, switch the toggle off next to Email notifications.
Enable/ disable notifications for edited tasks¶
By default you should receive emails about all changes within tasks, which you edit. But if you want to disable this option, follow the steps below:
- At the top, tap the hamburger menu .
- Tap General Settings.
- Switch the toggle on next to Disable notifications for my tasks.
- On the bottom, tap the checkmark .
If you want to enable the option, you just need to switch the toggle on.

Contact VNC Service Desk¶
You can submit a support request at any time through VNC Service Desk. Adding a support request is a good option if:
- You face any issues with your VNC Software
- You want to report a bug
- You have feature requests
To add a support request:
- At the top, tap the hamburger menu .
- Navigate to About > VNC service desk.
- Tap VISIT VNC SERVICE DESK.

Fill in the fields:
The fields with the asterisk are required.
- Subject: Enter an appropriate name of the issue.
- Project: Select the project where an issue occurs.
- Customer: Select the customer.
- Product: Select the product where an incident occurs or the problem is discovered.
- Version: Select the version number of the application.
- Impact: Select the impact area.
- Urgency: Select the urgency level.
- Used hardware type: Select a hardware type where an issue occurs.
- Operating system: Select the operating system where an issue occurs.
- Browser: Select the browser where an issue occurs.
- Description: Enter a detailed description of an issue or recommendation. In your support request, try to provide as much detail as possible about the issue or recommendation.

If you need to attach something, tap Browse.
- On the bottom, tap Create.
Access "Terms of use"¶
A Terms of Service agreement provide details about relationship between VNClagoon products and apps and users. It sets forth clauses that embody the rules, requirements, restrictions and limitations that a user must agree to in order to use the VNClagoon products and apps.
Access "Data Privacy Policy"¶
Data Privacy Policy provides details about what type of information is collected and tracked on the website, how the information may be used, and with whom the information may be shared.
