VNCteamwork

Introduction

VNCteamwork is the VNClagoon LIVE service for VNCtask and VNCproject For the general functionalities refer to the documentation here:

"Individual" account

An "Individual" account provides you with the access to VNCtask. If you want to have VNCproject enabled - you have to upgrade the "Individual" to an "Organization" account. In order to upgrade to an "Organization" account - follow the steps from "Upgrade to "Organization" account" instruction.

In order to register "Individual" account - refer to "Registration" section.

"Organization" account

An "Organization" account allows you to enable the complete VNCteamwork features: VNCtask and VNCproject. For VNCproject, you need to set a subdomain, so when a user clicks VNCproject shell, he/she is redirected to <your_subdomain>.vncteamwork.com. It means that all users in a department, for which VNCteamwork is activated, will be synchronized/created on a new subdomain of VNCteamwork. And any added/removed user from this department will be activated/locked in a subdomain automatically.

In order to register "Organization" account - refer to "Registration" section.

In this section you can find 3 instructions: "Activate VNCteamwork for an organization with a subdomain", "Activate VNCteamwork for "Default" department", and "Add a new department and activate VNCteamwork for it". For more instructions - refer to ""Organization" account" section.

Activate VNCteamwork for an organization with a subdomain

If you activate VNCteamwork for an organization, all users in this organization are synchronized with the created subdomain of VNCteamwork.

  1. Click SETTINGS:

  2. Click Subscribe for VNCproject and enter a subdomain for VNCproject in the field. The subdomain is suggested according to your organization name.

  3. Click Submit. You should see the following notification:

    You have successfully subscribed to VNCproject. You can enable it for departments and start using it.

    After that "Default" department is created with enabled VNCtalk. You can enable VNCteamwork for the department.

Activate VNCteamwork for "Default" department

  1. Click SETTINGS and click Organizations.
  2. Click your organization and click Departments:

  3. Click Edit next to "Default" department and tick VNCproject and VNCtask checkboxes. Also if you want you can rename the department - just enter required name in Name* field.

  4. Click Save.

Add a new department and activate VNCteamwork for it

  1. Click SETTINGS and click Organizations.
  2. Click your organization and click Departments:

  3. Click + New department. Fill in the fields. Name* field is required.

  4. Tick VNCproject and VNCtask checkboxes and click Create.
