Customize the language¶
The "Language" option allows you to select the language that you want to use. It is possible to set up 2 languages: English and German.
- In the upper left corner, click the profile image.
- Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
- From the Language dropdown menu, select a preferred option.
- Click Save.
Customize notification & sound settings¶
Manage notifications and sounds to control alerts. Turn global mute on or off to reduce distractions or stay updated as needed.
- In the upper left corner, click the profile image.
- Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
- Under the "System Notification" section, toggle Global mute on.
- Click Save.
- If you want to disable the global mute, toggle Global mute off.
Enable 2 Factor Authentication¶
Do not uninstall the "Google Authenticator" app before disabling 2FA, as the OTP code is required to deactivate it.
There are 2 ways to enable 2 Factor Authentication.
Way 1. Using the QR code.
- Install "Google Authenticator" from Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS).
- In VNCtask, click the profile image in the upper right corner and select Settings from the dropdoen menu.
- Under the "Security" section, toggle Enable 2 Factor Authentication on.
- Open "Google Authenticator" > Scan a QR code > Scan the code in VNCtask.
- Enter the OTP from the app in VNCtask and save.
Every time when you login to VNCtask, you should enter the OTP code from "Google Authenticator" application after entering the login credentials.
Way 2. Using a setup key.
- Follow the steps above 1 through 4.
- Select Can't scan the QR code to view your setup key.
- In "Google Authenticator," choose Enter a setup key, input your account name, key, and key type, then add.
- Enter the OTP in VNCtask and save.
Enable/ disable email notifications¶
If you want to receive emails about all changes within tasks, you can enable email notifications.
- In the upper left corner, click the profile image.
- Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
- Under the "Email Notifications" section, toggle Email notifications on.
- Click Save.
- If you want to disable the email notifications, toggle Email notifications off.
Enable/ disable notifications for edited tasks¶
By default, you should receive emails about all changes within tasks, which you edit. But if you want to disable this option, follow the steps below:
- In the upper left corner, click the profile image.
- Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
- Under the "Email Notifications" section, toggle Disable notifications for my tasks on.
- Click Save.
- Under the "Email Notification" section, toggle Disable notifications for my tasks off.
