Customize the language

The "Language" option allows you to select the language that you want to use. It is possible to set up 2 languages: English and German.

1. In the upper left corner, tap the hamburger menu .
2. Navigate to General Settings.
3. From the Language dropdown menu, select a preferred option.
4. Tap the checkmark at the bottom.

Customize notification & sound settings

Manage notifications and sounds to control alerts. Turn global mute on or off to reduce distractions or stay updated as needed.

1. In the upper left corner, tap the hamburger menu .
2. Navigate to General Settings.
3. Under the "System Notification" section, toggle Global mute on.
4. Tap the checkmark at the bottom.
5. If you want to disable the global mute, toggle Global mute off.

Enable 2-Factor Authentication

Do not uninstall the "Google Authenticator" app before disabling 2FA, as the OTP code is required to deactivate it.

There are 2 ways to enable 2-factor authentication.

Way 1. Using the QR code.

1. Install "Google Authenticator" from the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS).
2. In VNCtask, tap the hamburger menu and navigate to General Settings.
3. Under the "Security" section, toggle Enable 2 Factor Authentication on.
4. Open "Google Authenticator" > Scan a QR code > Scan the code in VNCtask.
5. Enter the OTP from the app in VNCtask and save.

Whenever you log in to VNCtask, you should enter the OTP code from the "Google Authenticator" application after entering the login credentials.

Way 2. Using a setup key.

1. Follow the steps above 1 through 4.
2. Select Can't scan the QR code to view your setup key.
3. In "Google Authenticator," choose Enter a setup key, input your account name, key, and key type, and then add.
4. Enter the OTP in VNCtask and save.

Enable/ disable email notifications

If you want to receive emails about all changes within tasks, you can enable email notifications.

1. In the upper left corner, tap the hamburger menu .
2. Navigate to General Settings.
3. Under the "Email Notifications" section, toggle Email notifications on.
4. Tap the checkmark at the bottom.
5. If you want to disable the email notifications, toggle Email notifications off.

Enable/ disable notifications for edited tasks

By default, you should receive emails about all changes within tasks, that you edit. But if you want to disable this option, follow the steps below:

1. In the upper left corner, tap the hamburger menu .
2. Navigate to General Settings.
3. Under the "Email Notifications" section, toggle Disable notifications for my tasks on.
4. Tap the checkmark at the bottom.
5. Under the "Email Notification" section, toggle Disable notifications for my tasks off.
