Contact Groups

If you cooperate with the same group of people often, create a contact group in VNCcontacts+ so you can cooperate with the contact group instead of individual interactions.

All contact groups are stored under the "Contact Group" section.

View a contact group information

  1. In the upper left corner, tap the hamburger menu icon .
  2. Navigate to Contact Group.
  3. Tap a contact group's name to view the contact group's information.
  4. From here, you can also also click the kebab menu icon in the upper right corner to launch some actions in a corresponding VNC product.

Create a contact group

  1. In the upper left corner, tap the hamburger menu icon .
  2. Navigate to Contact Group.
  3. Tap the create contact group button at the bottom.
  4. In the Contact Group name field, type the name for the group.
  5. (Optional) Tap the avatar icon to add a contact group image.
  6. Add people from your contacts list.
  7. Tap the checkmark at the bottom.

You can check the created contact group by navigating to Contact Group.

Edit a contact group

Once you create a contact group, you can change a contact group avatar, give it a new name as well as add new participants to the contact group or delete current ones.

  1. In the upper left corner, tap the hamburger menu icon .
  2. Navigate to Contact Group.
  3. Tap a contact group you want to edit.
  4. Tap the pencil icon at the bottom.
  5. Make your changes.
  6. Tap the checkmark at the bottom.

Add a contact to a contact group

  1. Follow the steps 1 through 4 from the "Edit a contact group" subsection.
  2. Tap a contact you want to add to a contact group.
  3. Tap the checkmark at the bottom.

Delete a contact from a contact group

  1. Follow the steps 1 through 4 from the "Edit a contact group" subsection.
  2. Tap the cross icon next to the contact you want to remove from a contact group.
  3. Tap the checkmark at the bottom.

Change a contact group name

  1. Follow the steps 1 through 4 from the "Edit a contact group" subsection.
  2. Type a new name.
  3. Tap the checkmark at the bottom.

Change a contact group image

  1. Follow the steps 1 through 4 from the "Edit a contact group" subsection.
  2. Tap the photo icon and then Upload. You can choose a photo from your library or take a new photo with your camera.
  3. Customize your image if needed and then tap Done.
  4. Tap the checkmark at the bottom.

Delete a contact group

After you delete a contact group, you will not be able to restore it.

  1. In the upper left corner, tap the hamburger menu icon .
  2. Navigate to Contact Group.
  3. Tap and hold a contact group you want to delete.
  4. Tap the trash icon on a toolbar at the top of the screen.
  5. When prompted, tap Delete confirming that you want to delete the contact group.

Perform actions on a contact group

You can create a ticket/ task for a contact group in case the users have the subscription for VNCproject/ VNCtask.

You can perform different actions with your contact groups, such as sending an email, sending a message, or starting a screensharing session.

  1. In the upper left corner, tap the hamburger menu icon .
  2. Navigate to Contact Group.
  3. Tap and hold a contact group you want to perform an action.

  4. Tap the kebab menu icon in the upper right corner and select one of the following options:

    • Voice Call. To start an audio call.
    • Video Call. To start a video call.
    • Send a message. To start chatting.
    • Email. To compose an email for all users within the contact group.
    • Event. To invite all users within the contact group to a meeting.
    • Broadcast. To inform about events of any kind within the contact group.
