A quick overview of VNCcommander

VNCcommander looks as follows:

  1. Create New: Use this button to create a new message, email, contact, contact group, event, task, ticket, or incident.
  2. Change Sidebar Width: Expands or collapses the sidebar to adjust your workspace.
  3. Filter: Displays a list of VNClagoon products you're subscribed to, helping you focus on relevant content.
  4. Tags: Shows tags you've applied across all products. Use them to organize and filter items efficiently.
  5. Global Search: Performs an advanced search across all subscribed products, selected modules, or tagged items. Attachments are also included in the results.
  6. Filters & Order: Allows grouping and sorting of items based on various attributes, such as date, type, or priority.
  7. Stream View: Displays a live feed of new activity across selected products, including emails, tasks, calendar events, chat messages, and more, along with notification counters.
  8. Global User Profile: Opens your personal profile with access to settings and preferences.

Switch among VNClagoon apps

We offer single sign on (SSO) for our complete VNClagoon software suite. You can use the App Switcher to go to any other VNClagoon product from VNCcommander. It's an easy and fast option to access any VNClagoon collaboration or communication application and you do not need to open the product URL in a browser and enter your credentials to log in.

  1. In the upper left corner, click the bento icon . A small dashboard with all your subscribed VNClagoon applications will be displayed.
  2. Select the desired product and you will be forwarded to this product.

Log out

Logging out of an account in VNCcommander does not delete your account.

  1. In the upper right corner, click the profile icon.
  2. Click LOG OUT.

Account Information

View your profile information

  1. In the upper right corner, click the profile icon.
  2. Select Profile from the dropdown menu.

Buttons that launch some actions in a corresponding VNC product:

  • Create an email
  • Create a ticket
  • Create a task

The profile section displays general information about you:

  • Profile. Profile data include your full name, birthdate, timezone, company, contact information, etc.
  • HR data. HR data includes information like marital status, private email, engagement type, etc.
  • Account. Account data includes your profile name, security encryption type, projects, and more.

Change your profile image

You can add a VNCcommander profile image or change your current profile image. By default, your avatar is a circle with your username's initials.

  1. In the upper right corner, click the profile icon.
  2. Select Profile from the dropdown menu. The "Profile information" pop-up will open.
  3. Click the profile photo icon.
  4. Click Upload and select an image from your device.
  5. Click Done.

Set the language

You can personalize the interface by selecting your preferred language. Currently, English and German are available.

Changing the language updates the entire VNClagoon LIVE interface, including menus, labels, notifications, and system messages.

  1. In the upper right corner, click the profile icon.
  2. Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
  3. Select the language From the Language dropdown menu, select a prefered option.
  4. Click Save.

Manage stream view

Use the Condensed View for faster navigation or switch to Detailed View when you need more context per item.

The Stream provides a real-time overview of activities across your subscribed VNClagoon products. You can customize how this information is displayed by choosing one of the available views:

  • Table View (under development): Will offer a structured, spreadsheet-like format for easy comparison of items.
  • Condensed View: Displays items in a compact list with minimal details, ideal for scanning high volumes of activity quickly.
  • Detailed View: Shows each item with extended information such as sender, time, subject, and preview content — useful for reviewing context without opening items.
  • Tile View: Presents items as individual cards or blocks, offering a visual, organized layout that highlights key content at a glance.

To change the view:

  1. Click the view icon in the upper right corner of the Stream panel.
  2. Choose your preferred display option from the dropdown menu.

Your selection is applied immediately and retained across sessions for a consistent user experience.

Help & Privacy Statement

Access Help Center

  1. In the upper right corner, click the profile icon.
  2. Navigate to Help and select one of the following options:

    • App Info. The version number of VNCcommender you are using.
    • User Manual/ FAQ. A comprehensive user guide providing step-by-step instructions on how to use VNCmail and answers to basic questions about VNCmail.
    • VNC Service Desk. Adding a support request.

  1. In the upper right corner, click the profile icon.
  2. Navigate to Legal Notice and select one of the following options:

    • Terms of use. A "Terms of Service" agreement provides details about the relationship between VNClagoon and users. It sets forth clauses that embody the rules, requirements, restrictions, and limitations that a user must agree to use the VNClagoon applications.
    • Data privacy. The Data Privacy Policy provides details about what type of information is collected and tracked on the website, how the information may be used, and with whom the information may be shared.
