A quick overview of VNCcommander

VNCcommander looks as follows:

Number Description
1 The "Create new" button allows to create a message, email, contact or contact group, event, task, ticket, and incident.
2 The "Change sidebar width" button allows to expand or contract the sidebar.
3 The "Filter" section is the list of products that you are subscribed to.
4 The "Tags" section is the list of tags you organize your items across all products and filter items according to tags.
5 "Global" is the search across all subscribed products, in selected products, or for tagged items, this advanced search also includes attachments.
6 "Filters" and "Order" give an option to group and sort the items by various attributes.
7 "Stream view" shows all new items from the selected products (with a counter), such as new emails, upcoming tasks or appointments, new chat messages, etc.
8 "Global User Profile" gives access to your profile and personal settings.

Log out

  1. In the upper right-hand corner, click the avatar photo.
  2. Select Logout menu option that opens.

Account Information

Upload the profile photo

You can upload a photo to set as your VNCcommander profile picture.

  1. In the upper right-hand corner, click the avatar photo and select Profile.
  2. The Profile information modal window will open. Click the profile photo icon.
  3. Click Upload, select a required photo/picture, and crop it.
  4. If you have selected the photo/picture, click Done.

Change the theme

This feature is under development.

Set the language

It is possible to set 2 languages: English and German.

  1. In the upper right-hand corner, click the avatar photo and then select Settings.
  2. Select the language from the Language drop-down menu.
  3. Click Save.

Manage stream view

The Stream can be displayed in 4 ways:

  • Table view (under development)
  • Condensed view
  • Detailed view
  • Tile view

Select the option that’s best for you at the upper right-hand corner of your Stream.

Help & Privacy Statement

Check VNCcommander version

To check VNCcommander version:

  1. In the upper right-hand corner, click the avatar photo.
  2. Navigate to Help > App Info.

Access "User Manual"

If you need more information about VNCcommander or need some instructions, you can access "VNCcommander Web Client User Manual".

  1. In the upper right-hand corner, click the avatar photo.
  2. Navigate to Help > User Manual.

Create an incident in VNC Service Desk

You can submit a support request at any time through VNC Service Desk. Adding a support request is a good option if:

  • You face any issues with your VNC Software
  • You want to report a bug
  • You have feature requests

To add a support request:

  1. In the upper right-hand corner, click the avatar photo.
  2. Navigate to Help > VNC service desk.

  3. Fill in the fields:

    The fields with the asterisk are required.

    • Subject: Enter an appropriate name of the issue.
    • Project: Select the project where an issue occurs.
    • Customer: Select the customer.
    • Product: Select the product where an incident occurs or the problem is discovered.
    • Version: Select the version number of the application.
    • Impact: Select the impact area.
    • Urgency: Select the urgency level.
    • Used hardware type: Select a hardware type where an issue occurs.
    • Operating system: Select the operating system where an issue occurs.
    • Browser: Select the browser where an issue occurs.
    • Description: Enter a detailed description of an issue or recommendation. In your support request, try to provide as much detail as possible about the issue or recommendation.
  4. If you want to attach some file/screenshot - click BROWSE.

  5. Click Create.

Access FAQ

  1. In the upper right-hand corner, click the avatar photo.
  2. Navigate to Help > FAQ.

Access "Terms of use"

A Terms of Service agreement provide details about relationship between VNClagoon products and apps and users. It sets forth clauses that embody the rules, requirements, restrictions and limitations that a user must agree to in order to use the VNClagoon products and apps.

  1. In the upper right-hand corner, click the avatar photo.
  2. Select Help > Terms of use.

Access "Data Privacy"

Data Privacy provides details about what type of information is collected and tracked on the website, how the information may be used, and with whom the information may be shared.

  1. In the upper right-hand corner, click the avatar photo.
  2. Select Help > Data Privacy.
