With the task feature in VNCcommander, you can create new tasks on the fly.

Create a task

In VNCcommander, you can effortlessly create tasks with customizable options such as setting due dates, assigning priorities, selecting users, and more.

  1. Click Create new.
  2. Select Task.
  3. Enter a task name.
  4. Set a Start Date and Due Date: choose from the list or pick a custom date.
  5. Set Priority, Project, and Assignee.
  6. For recurring tasks, click Repeats and choose an option.
  7. Organize the task:

    • Set Estimated Time.
    • Add Tags and a Description.
  8. Click Add.

    • If you want to continue in VNCtask, click Open in VNCtask.

Preview a task

You can preview a task in VNCcommander without opening it in VNCtask.

  1. Click VNCtask in the left sidebar.
  2. Search for a required task and click it. You should see the task preview form.

Edit a task

There are 2 ways to edit a task.

Way 1. Without opening the task.

  1. Click VNCtask in the left sidebar.
  2. Hold the pointer over the task you want to edit and click the kebab menu icon in the upper right corner.
  3. Select Edit task from the dropdown menu.
  4. Make your changes.
  5. Click Edit.

Way 2. Opening the task.

  1. Click VNCtask in the left sidebar.
  2. Search for the task you want to edit and click it.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Make your changes.
  5. Click Edit.

Add a tag to a task

  1. Click VNCtask in the left sidebar.
  2. Click the tag icon next to the task you want to add a tag.
  3. Type a tag name in the Tag Name field.
  4. Select a desired color for it.
  5. Click UPDATE.
